“I love teenagers. Their energy, passion for life and spiritual vulnerability are refreshing. It is exciting to walk with them in their journey towards maturity. I believe they can make a powerful impact for Christ in our community and in the world.”
Growing in Christ-like character is the focus of our youth ministry. At South MacArthur, youth ministry is the task of the community of faith. With over 150 teens from 6th grade through 12th grade, it is impossible for one youth minister to assume full responsibility for their spiritual development.
At South MacArthur, we are blessed to have a very strong parental support system which strives to help our youth transition from an “inherited” faith to an owned faith. As a family-based youth ministry, our goal is to equip and empower parents and teens to proclaim the Good News of Jesus to those around them and to experience the redeeming, transforming love of God.
A variety of opportunities for growth and godly social development is offered. This includes weekly classes, life group meetings, social outings, summer youth camps, retreats, leadership training and devotionals.
